Esh Group Eagles Newcastle Eagles and Glasgow Rocks will compete the 2015 BBL Cup Final after both completed semi final victories to set up the Cup Final clash.
The Eagles reached their fourth consecutive BBL Cup Final after defeating Sheffield Sharks 85-76 in the semi-final second leg at Sport Central, to secure a double-digit aggregate win (162-151). The Eagles will be looking to regain the title that they last won in 2012 having lost both of the two previous finals ( last year versus Leicester ).
After a tight 77-75 1st leg in Bristol the Rocks returned north of the border and put together a blistering 24-8 second quarter to help them to a 84 - 57 win over the Flyers (161-132 on aggregate). Rocks will be hoping to deny the Eagles and secure their first Cup Final victory at the fourth time of asking.
Newcastle appears to be the favourite for the ddo-or-die games, as they currently lead the BBL standings behind a 12-1 record, while Glasgow has a 6-7 record
The Main Event on January 11 at the National Indoor Arena ( NIA ) in Birmingham will tip at 3.30pm local, but as a pre-cursor to the Cup Final, the BBL will welcome the Women's British Basketball League (WBBL) Trophy Final (12pm) in its maiden season. Also scheeduled the BBL Slam Dunk contest (2pm)
