The Dutch League ( FEB ) has announced that an interim Board has been appointed after former FEB President Henk Reekers and the members of the Board stepped down. Now, an interim administration for the League has been appointed with the consent of all members of the FEB. Marcel Verburg, ZZ Leiden chairman, takes over as FEB interim President, with Albert Dominicus ( SPMShoeters ), Michael de Jager ( BSW ), and Adriaan van Bergen ( Landstede Basketbal ) also in the Board.
The new Board has been mandated the formation of a new government for the League, including the formulation of the task for the new administration. The goal is to have this done before mid-January.
The second task of the new, interim FEB Board, is to find a solution to the situation Port of Den Helder Kings after thee club declared in bankruptcy last week. The question is whether and under what conditions the club can continue to operate in the Dutch League.
