EUROLEAGUE PRESENTATION IN FRANKFURT

The Opel world president and the C.E.O of the Euroleague have presented the Competition in Frankfurt. (Germany).

Today, Friday, 18th August 2000 a joint presentation of the Euroleague and the team Opel Skyliners has taken place in Frankfurt for the German media.

The presentation has been held at the headquarters of the multinational motoring company Opel, who is the sponsor of the German team of the Euroleague, Opel Skyliners before a wide audience of more than 600 people.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Euroleague, Jordi Bertomeu, has emphasised that one of the aims of the competition is to increase the basketball implantation in north-centre European countries, as Germany and England, because otherwise it will not be possible to reach a full development of this sport at continental level.

The Opel world President, Robert Hendry, has reaffirmed the agreement of the company with the Frankfurt team, of which has said is a representative Germany project designed to became one of the most important clubs in Europe.
