HEBA League

The HEBA was founded on August of 1991 by law and organizes the professsional basketball competition in Greece. The organization that is going to direct the top category of Greece basketball men A1 Division as of the season 92-93

Each season there are two main competitions organized by the HEBA:

The League Championship HEBA A1 Division with a regular season (2 rounds, home and away games) and play-off series (the best 8 teams qualified for the play-offs, all rounds best of 3 games and the final best of 5 games).

The All-Star Game.

The HEBA has an agreement with NETMED cable TV. Duration : 2 years (1998-1999, 1999-2000) with the option of renewal for 2 more years if all the clubs agree to that. Number of games shown on TV : During regular season 2 games every week and during the play-offs 2 games every set of games.

Board of Directors:
14 persons (each one representing one club ), 1 person (representing A2 Division clubs ) 1 person (representative of the Greek Federation ) and the President of the Board.
