HAPOEL SODA JERUSALEM BC
Hapoel "Soda Club" Jerulame Basketball Club is the Israeli basketball tem with the greatest archievements, after Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the past six years. The Team's past achievements include:
1995-96 Season: winning the Israeli Cup, and beating Maccabi Tel Aviv in the final of the Cup; reaching the final round of the Israeli playoffs and losing the Championship round to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
1996-97 Season: winning, for the second time in a row, the Israeli Cup, and beating Maccabi Tel Aviv in the final of the Cup; reaching the final round of the Israeli playoffs and losing the Championship round to Maccabi Tel Aviv; reaching the quarter-final of the Saporta Cup in Europe, which gave Israel its second Euroleague card for the following season.
1997-98 Season: participation in the Euroleague; finishing the Israelí league in third place; reaching the quarter-final of the Israelí Cup.
1998-99 Season: finishing the regular Israeli basketball season as the first place team; reaching the final of the Israeli Cup and the Israeli championship (losing both to Maccabi Tel Aviv); reaching the round of sixteen of the Saporta Cup.
1999-00 Season: reaching the final of the Israeli Cup for the fourth time in the past five years; reaching the round of sixteen of the Saporta Cup for the third time in four years.
The Team has the second largest stadium in Israel, after only Maccabi Tel aviv, which seats more than 3.000 spectators. The Team's fans are the most loyal in Israel and attendace is standing room only for all of its games. The Team has the proven capacity to fill the stadium tickets for all of its games, whether Israeli or European have consistently been sold out in advance for all games for the last several years.
